<div>What an interesting research topic. I thought Joy Davis’ example was powerful for a quiet space. I would also add stillness and the stoppage of time too.</div>
<div>My memorable quiet space in a museum was in the Creston museum. Tammy had each person present take the role of a WW 1 participant. I was a lieutenant eating a meal of spam and soup whereas my husband was a prisoner of war and ate bread and water for his
dinner. The generals around us had roast beef and potatoes. The dining hall was so quiet. Everyone transported in time.<br>

I am currently conducting my graduate research in fulfillment of the UBC Master of Museum Education program on museum educators’ and visitors’ perceptions of designated museum quiet spaces in Canada. The goal of this research to understand through interviews
more about peoples’ opinions of quiet spaces with the intention that findings could inform the creation and facilitation of quiet spaces.</p>
