There will be no extensions or exceptions to the dates.<span class="m_7512976675056332109apple-converted-space"> </span></span><u></u><u></u></li><li class="m_7512976675056332109MsoListParagraph" style="color:black"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Applications will be peer reviewed by the end of November and successful fund recipients should receive notices by the end of December.<span class="m_7512976675056332109apple-converted-space"> </span></span><u></u><u></u></li><li class="m_7512976675056332109MsoListParagraph" style="color:black"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Your proposed project must start before December 31, 2021 and be completed before March 31, 2023. The timeline permits for two construction seasons.<span class="m_7512976675056332109apple-converted-space"> Funding
cannot be applied retroactively; program activities must start after approvals have been announced. </span></span><u></u><u></u></li><li class="m_7512976675056332109MsoListParagraph" style="color:black"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">A final report will be required.<span class="m_7512976675056332109apple-converted-space"> </span></span><u></u><u></u></li><li class="m_7512976675056332109MsoListParagraph" style="color:black"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">A key focus of the program is economic recovery and you must take that into consideration when preparing the application and, later, the final report. You
should consider questions such as: How does my project stimulate local economy? Who will be employed through this project? How much will they be paid? What are the ongoing economic effects? Will future job positions be created?<span class="m_7512976675056332109apple-converted-space"> </span></span><u></u><u></u></li><li class="m_7512976675056332109MsoListParagraph" style="color:black"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Heritage will be interpreted broadly. See page 10 of the program guide for more information.<span class="m_7512976675056332109apple-converted-space"> </span></span><u></u><u></u></li><li class="m_7512976675056332109MsoListParagraph" style="color:black"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">New infrastructure is eligible, but it must have the purpose of conserving heritage (an example might be a shed to protect a railcar).<span class="m_7512976675056332109apple-converted-space"> </span></span><u></u><u></u></li><li class="m_7512976675056332109MsoListParagraph" style="color:black"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Applicants will not be required to provide matching funds; the program will cover expenses up to $1M.</span><u></u><u></u></li><li class="m_7512976675056332109MsoListParagraph" style="color:black"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Each organization may submit two applications (two to the heritage stream or one to the heritage and one to another stream). However, it is recommended you
