<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">The Vancouver Maritime Museum (VMM) has partnered with the National Congress of Black Women Foundation (NCBWF) to present
<b>Changing the Narrative,</b> a virtual Black History Month workshop that looks at the contributions of Black Canadians to the history of B.C.
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-autospace:none"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">This two-hour workshop will take place on
<b>Friday, February 12<sup>th</sup> from 10:00am – 12:00pm </b>and includes<b> </b>
a short video, a panel discussion, question-and-answer period. The workshop is designed for anyone who is interested in Black Canadian history or teaches in B.C. school districts.
</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Tickets for the workshop are $20 for educators and adults and $10 for students.
</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black;background:white">A portion of the proceeds from this event will go towards the NCBWF Fall 2021 scholarship/bursary fund which will award 2021 students $1000 to go toward their education. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
