To be eligible for this program, applicants must be unemployed, working part-time, or in a seasonal or contract position. For detailed eligibility requirements and for application information, please see below.<br>

This program is designed to teach you professional business communication and administration skills. By completing the program you will be prepared for positions in professional settings across multiple sectors such as health care, service industries, manufacturing, natural resources industries, and for-profit and non-profit organizations, among many others.<br>

The program will enhance your ability to apply a professional business lens in your daily work. You will develop skills to successfully operate within a competitive business landscape, learning the language of business and the communication skills required in a professional business setting. This program will cover the roles and responsibilities of all core functions of an organization or small business. Throughout the program you will work on components of small assignments that lead to a capstone project of your choosing that will have you practice reading, analyzing and interpreting business documents, creating presentations, conveying your message to an audience in written and verbal forms, and writing professional business documents.<br>

Classes will run from March to August 2021, during which you can expect to engage in up to eight hours a week of activities, group work, self-directed study, and live (online through Zoom) instruction delivered either Tuesday or Thursday evening, once a week. September to October will focus on career planning and support workshops, to support a successful transition to continuing, full-time employment.<br>
