Hello hopefully all Northern mountain and avalanche professionals,

this is nmap version 2.0. After I first set it up in the summer, it
failed and only a few of you got my messages. Now it looks like it has
been fixed. Please let me know if there are any difficulties. You may
have to write me directly to fix them.

Here is how it works: write an e-mail message to nmap at hosting.pinc.com
and all 31 subscribers get it. Everybody on this list is either an ACMG
member or a CAA professional or both. This is an easy way to enquire
about conditions, alert each other to issues, and communicate CPD or
social events. You can attach images and files as in other e-mails.

The geographical range is McBride in the east, Terrace in the west, and
Whitehorse in the north. The Executive Director of the ACMG and the CPD
folks at the CAA and the ACMG are also subscribers. Please let me know
if I have forgotten anyone. I administer the list for now, but maybe we
can find a smarter person in the future.

When you get a message from me and hit reply, only I get it. This
explains why John and Kevin had some exchanges. If you want everybody on
the list to get a message, you have to write to nmap at hosting.pinc.com.
If you hit reply, only the person who posted gets your message.

As everyone knows, the Bulkley Valley is the centre of the universe and
I'm happy to report that I skied up the new ski run that was built from
the base of the chair lift to the end of Zobnick Road. That is a few
hundred metres from the more northerly railway crossing on Railway
Avenue in Smithers. You can now leave your vehicle in town and take the
bus up to the ski hill. It's only 700 vertical metres from town to the
base of the chair and the new run makes a fast foot and mountain bike
access to the ski hill right from Smithers.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
