[Nmap] Status

Hello northern mountain and avalanche folks,

before most of us head down to Squamish and Whistler for the ISSW, here 
is a short check on what this listserve is about. I started it so we 
could communicate with each other. Everybody who receives this message 
can post whatever they have to say that is relevant. This listserve is 
much like the informalex that the ACMG members among you know and use. 
Just write a message with the e-mail address above and all will hear it! 
You can post conditions, work sought and available, rides sought and 
available, and so on. Much to my regret, no one but me has so far posted 
- whether that's because you did not know you can, or because you did 
not have anything to say, I don't know.

The planned weather course in Smithers and the First Aid refresher have 
both been cancelled. Only one person signed up for each. It was a bit 
short notice, but it may be harder to get CPD and other offerings in the 
North if we don't take advantage of what's out there. I will try to plan 
longer term, but need input on what is of interest to you.

Finally, I'll have to be in Squamish on the 19th of September for ACMG 
meetings, and will then attend the ISSW in Whistler until the 27th. I'm 
not sure yet how I'll get back - may have to go to Pine Pass right away. 
I am interested in either offering someone a ride or ride with one of 
you. Could you please let me know if there is any interest?
