Hello in the almost snowy north,

the CAA is again offering its Level I Ski Operations course at the
Burnie Glacier Chalet from 8 to 15 January 2010. If you have someone in
your organization who needs this course, here it is. You may know people
who are thinking about a mountain and avalanche career - you can direct
them to their first steps right here close to home. The hut-based
courses are very well received by the students because there is no time
wasted on driving to venues and getting back to meeting rooms in town.
The excellent food and the skiing may have something to do with that
too. This course is eight instead of seven days long and I have always
been very happy with the additional time we can spend with each student.

Registration is through the CAA, and here's the link:
https://www.avalanche.ca/Registration/CourseList.aspx?Type=L1

Please don't hesitate to direct people towards me if they have questions
or want to discuss their options.

All the best
