[Nmap] Permits for Northern Parks

Hello Northern ACMG Members,

Earlier in the year, Christoph wrote to you extolling the wonderful work 
I was doing to obtain rapid access to permits for Edziza, Seven Sisters, 
Babine and Tazdli Wiyez Bin. Well, that makes it all the harder for me 
to tell you that I've royally screwed up. We've been negotiating the 
renewal of this permit for a few months now, and all along I was under 
the impression that the four Northern Parks were included. When I heard 
that  none of the area managers had any concerns, I thought we were home 
free.  The reason there were no concerns was that the four  parks were 
not included. I should have begun a parallel process along with the 
renewal to bring them back. I have no excuse for this ridiculous 
oversight and I sincerely apologize to any of you who may have made 
plans to guide in those areas.

Janet and I have now begun the process of getting them onto the permit, 
but it could take up to 140 days, pretty much putting paid to possible 
summer work in those areas. I'm truly sorry about this, folks, and I'll 
do whatever I can to expedite the process. Christoph has offered to 
speak with his contacts in the area to help allay local concerns with 
the permits - this may speed the consultations Parks will do with them.
