[BCMA Members Only] Behind the Lines | Contemporary Syrian Art

I am humbly writing you all today to see if there would be any opportunity
to have our latest exhibition: Behind the Lines: Contemporary Syrian Art,
featuring over 100 works of art by 19 contemporary Syrian artists, most of
whom are still living in Syria today, tour to your institution in the coming
year or beyond. I am attaching a copy of the catalogue for your reference to
learn more about the artists and to see the work on display. 

I would also love for you to have the opportunity to talk with Humam Alsalim
(www.facebook.com/Mr.Doooom?fref=ts) my 24 year old contact in Damascus who
helped pull this whole thing together. His English both spoken and written
is amazing and he is easy to reach via Facebook and through facebook you can
set up a skype call and hear firsthand his story and those behind all the
artists in this exhibition. 

This is rare and amazing opportunity to bring the world to your community
and I can't express enough just how lucky and honoured I am to have been
able to bring this exhibition to our community and I believe it's certainly
one of the most timely and important exhibitions we have done and I could
not have foreseen just how relevant this is when we started working on this
a year ago.

time and would like to see this exhibition in person it will remain on
display here at the Penticton Art Gallery through Sunday September 11th.
