*The 2007 Marina Way Roundabout Temporary Art Project*

*CALL FOR PROPOSALS*

The City of Penticton is seeking proposals for a temporary outdoor 
public art installation for the centre of the Marina Way traffic 
roundabout. This competition is open to all artists who are permanent 
residents of British Columbia and who are available to create and 
install a temporary work of art in the first two weeks of July 2007. The 
selected individual or collective will receive a $3,000 artist’s 
honorarium, up to $3,000 in material fees, and a travel and 
accommodations budget of up to $1,000. The winning installation will be 
on display from July through November 2007.

Budget for the project:

Artist’s Fee $3,000.00

Mater fees – up to $3,000.00

Travel/Accommodations $1,000.00

Top 2 Selected Models $ 600.00 ($300 for each artists model)

Unveiling/Opening: _$ 400.00_

TOTAL $8,000.00
