In early celebration of Canada Day, the Okanagan Military Museum is 
holding a book sale fundraiser on Saturday, June 30 from 10:00am to 
4:00pm. Come choose from a selection of books on all aspects of military 
history. Proceeds from the book sale support Museum exhibitions and 
public programming. The Okanagan Military Museum is located at 1424 
Ellis Street, inside the Memorial Arena. For more information please

The Okanagan Military Museum is opening a new exhibition called /Missing 
Stories of Aboriginal Military Service/ which looks at the role of 
aboriginal soldiers in Canada’s military heritage and the often untold 
stories of these soldiers. /Missing Stories/ is on exhibit in 
conjunction with /We Are Métis/, which is currently on exhibition at the 
Okanagan Heritage Museum.

The Okanagan Military Museum is a facility of the Kelowna Museums 
Society, a non-profit and charitable organization dedicated to a greater 
awareness of the agricultural, wine-producing, military, and cultural 
heritages of the Okanagan. The Okanagan Military Museum is open 
Tuesday-Saturday 10am-4pm. Admission is by donation. For more
