DIRECTOR GENERAL, RESEARCH AND COLLECTIONS
Responsibilities and Challenges
Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, you will be
accountable for the management and development of all activities
pertaining to research and collections. In support of the mission of the
CMC, you will lead a team of dedicated researchers and professionals as
well as review, develop and implement strategic direction and policies.
As a member of the senior management team, you will also act as an
ambassador of the CMC at events and conferences.
Ideal Profile – you have:
• A Ph.D. in Social Sciences or a relevant field of study;
• Broad experience in the arts or cultural management;
• Broad knowledge of museum policies and procedures for the acquisition
and care of objects and artefacts;
• Outstanding management, leadership and organizational skills;
• Research and publication experience;
• The ability to work in a complex, diverse and unionized environment;
• Strategic initiative and intellectual sharpness.
