PRESS RELEASE
The Bazaar Ladies strike again!
Holiday Bazaar at the Delta Museum and Archives
For immediate release
Delta, November 5, 2007–They’re back! The ladies of the Delta Museum and
Archives Holiday Bazaar Committee are frantically putting the last touches
to their inventory for this year’s Holiday Bazaar Sale, Friday and Saturday,
November 16 and 17 at the Kinsmen House, 5050 47th Ave in Ladner from 10:00
a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
For nearly 30 years The Holiday Bazaar Sale has generated funds for the
operations of the Delta Museum and Archives. The modest sales of the early
years have grown into impressive revenues generously contributing to the
museum and archives fundraising effort. The members of the committee known
as the Bazaar Ladies have been preparing for their annual sale since January
and are now doubling up on the efforts to be ready in time and with enough
inventory to satisfy the growing demand for their high quality items.
The Bazaar committee takes great pride in their work and has carefully
refined its inventory over the years to include beautifully handcrafted
items that are uniquely their own. In fact their selection is so popular,
that items are often preordered. Amongst the coveted items are the
soft-cover, hand-sewn children’s activity books. The Bazaar Ladies can
barely keep up with the demand. Also on the must-have list: pure virgin
wool knitted socks, cleverly designed sewing boxes and a variety of
affordable, original items to delight everyone on your holiday gift-giving
list. Stocking-stuffers, handcrafted giftware, seasonal decorations and
ornaments, children’s toys and novelties, and other specialty items will be
available. Shop in a comfortable atmosphere for gifts that cannot be found
anywhere else. Enter our raffle to win our first prize, a watercolour by
local artist Kim Scott entitled Ladner Barn and as second prize, a beautiful
Hawaiian quilt.
Proceeds from the sale and raffle help support your local museum and
archives in preserving and promoting Delta’s rich history and diverse
culture. Do some early holiday shopping while supporting a local non-profit
organization. Admission to the Bazaar is free. Complimentary coffee, tea
and cookies will be served. For more information, please call 604-946-9322
