Christmas Wreath Workshops
The Maritime Museum is offering Christmas wreath making workshops on
November 25th and on December 2ndand 9th.All workshops will be from 1-3 =
in
the afternoon. Cost per wreath is $20 + GST. Children are welcome to
participate, but all children under 12 must have an adult to help The
wreaths are made from manila rope using a traditional sailor=92s knot =
called
the Turk=92s Head. Participants can bring gardening gloves to guard =
against
splinters, and we will be working on the floor so knee pads are also =
useful.
If working on the floor is a problem, let us know and we=92ll arrange =
for a
table. We can accommodate a maximum of 15people per day. Participants =
are
encouraged to preregister,but they can pay on the day of the workshop.

The Maritime Museum will welcome in 2008 with its annual New Year=92s =
Day
Levee.The Bastion Square landmark will be open FREE to the public from
11a.m.-3 p.m. with entertainment by the Victoria Morris Dancers at 1
o=92clock. Everyone is welcome to come and drink hot apple cider and =
explore
one of Victoria=92s best kept secrets.
