Hello - Most Museums already know that B.C. Women's Institute, since =
2002, has been preparing a hard cover, 300 page, 200 picture History =
Book and a companion book "100 Women of B.C.W.I." to commemorate the =
centennial of the organization in 2009. We thank the many museums that =
have been generous in sharing information relating to the project. The =
books not only tell the story of Women's Institute but provide fresh =
details on the history of the province, and the role played by women in =
creating and sustaining communities. =20
NOVEMBER 15, 2007 is the final deadline to order copies of the books. =
There will be a one-time-only printing and we urge that orders be placed =
by the deadline, to avoid disappointment.
The pair of books sell for $70.00 plus $10.00 for packaging and =
shipping. They may be ordered by sending your name and address together =
with a cheque to the provincial W.I. office at: B.C. Women's Institute, =
#203B 750 Cottonwood Avenue, Kamloops, B.C. V2B 3X2. NOTE: We are =
giving away three sets, one per each 100, of the first 300 sold.
The books will be launched and orders picked up by members at the =
triennial provincial Convention at Duncan in June of 2008. All other =
orders will be shipped immediately after. This will also be the =
kick-off to 18 months of events around the province for the centennial =
of Women's Institute. We think such an important milestone is worthy of =
an extended celebration.
