* Secure sponsorships from local businesses.
* Create quality, age-appropriate lesson plans for children ages 6 to 18
* Instruct classes.
* Coordinate and oversee*/ Art Adventures/* team.
* Manage program budget.
* Write media releases and liaise with media.
*Required Education and Experience:*
* Education in the visual arts or in teaching.
* Experience working with children.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Basic computer skills.
The*/ Art Adventures Supervisor/Teacher/* will gain skills in
management, teaching, team building, budget preparation, sponsorship
recruitment, communications, public relations, marketing, scheduling,
registration, database entry and reporting. The*/ Art Adventures
Supervisor/Teacher/* will network with Kelowna Art Gallery and City of
Kelowna staff, members of Kelowna's Cultural District and the Downtown
Kelowna Association, and local media representatives.
