Program Coordinator Position at Revelstoke Museum & Archives
Revelstoke Museum & Archives is accepting applications for the position
of Program Coordinator. The successful applicant will be a returning
university or college student or recent university/college graduate
between the ages of 18 and 30. The successful candidate will be
responsible for creating and implementing programs for children and
families, including the annual Heritage Explorers Children's Program.
The candidate will also produce worksheets to accompany our "Chinese
Legacies" exhibit. The successful applicant will be required to have a
Criminal Record Check performed. Preference will be given to
Post-Secondary students in the fields of education, early childhood
education, history, museum studies, and recreation. Basic computer
skills are required. Applicants are expected to study preparatory
materials and to take a brief written test indicating their
understanding of museum policies and procedures. Women, persons with
disabilities, visible minorities and Aboriginals are encouraged to
apply. The job will take place at Revelstoke Museum and Archives in
Revelstoke, B.C. and will begin on June 2, 2008, running for 12 weeks
and ending on August 23, 2008. The position will pay $13.50 per hour,
and the workweek will be 35 hours. Applications must be received at
