Abbotsford is opening a new cultural centre consisting of an art gallery,
museum, archive, studio/classrooms and gift shop in September of 2008 and is
looking for a number of people to become an integral part of its operation. 
The cultural centre is the newest addition to the museum and art gallery
scene in BC and boasts a state of the art building in the heart of the
fastest growing city in the province. 

In partnership with the City of Abbotsford, the Cultural Centre will
champion the preservation and display of Abbotsford’s multi-faceted history
and the preservation of the social heritage of our community.  The Cultural
Centre will be acting as both a catalyst and promoter of Abbotsford’s unique
local history and an exhibitor and educator of local and other fine arts. 
The facility includes a local archive which provides services to local,
genealogical and research communities.

There will be a wide range of staff positions in the art gallery, museum,
archives and Cultural Centre.  If you are passionate about history and the
arts and are interested in any or all of the following; collections
management, cultural tourism, programming, volunteer coordinator, finance,
marketing, fundraising, instruction in the arts, design and display or
similar positions, we may have a role for you.

If you would like to be  part of this exciting new venture and considered
for one of the many positions which will become available beginning in May
2008, please provide a letter outlining the type of duties that you can
perform, a c.v., three references and a detailed resume.
