[Bcma-l] Provincial Heritage Strategy

Hello BCMA-listers,

Advocacy Alert: As has been mentioned earlier on this list, please remember 
to try and attend the province-wide Heritage Strategy Workshops put on by 
the Heritage Branch. These workshops are coming to a community near you 
starting in August and continuing on into September.



I strongly urge and encourage all my old friends and colleagues plus "newer" 
museum/heritage workers to attend a workshop in your region. Additionally, 
we need to ensure the movers and shakers and "change-makers," involved in 
our local governments and communities, also attend. Call your city hall, 
talk to your cultural/heritage planners and politicians and see if they will 
be present.



We have an opportunity here to be heard and comment on the development of a 
provincial heritage strategy. Let's not let it get lost in our busy summer 
schedules - please call the Heritage Branch and confirm your attendance - 
this is important!
