COMMUNITY SERVICES ASSISTANT 3
(Education PROGRAM Assistant - AUXILIARY)

As a Community Services Assistant 3 you will be involved in community 
service work of moderate complexity involving public contact, assisting 
staff by planning, organizing, promoting, implementing and leading 
cultural programs and services.

You will plan, schedule, implement, deliver, promote, evaluate and 
provide feedback on a wide range of educational school programs and 
services, including but not limited to special events, workshops, 
presentation of heritage displays and demonstrations, and heritage 
interpretations. You will assist in the development and distribution of 
promotional material of the programs; supervises, schedules and 
recognizes instructors, volunteers, clerical and junior staff. Strong 
organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are required. 
Creativity and the ability to work independently are inherent to the 
position.

The candidate should have completed Grade 12 and some post secondary 
education from a recognized institution, supplemented by 2 years related 
experience including supervision in cultural work or area of specialty 
or an equivalent acceptable combination of training and experience. 
Additionally, experience working with and training of program 
instructors would be an asset. Completion of a criminal record check 
will be required. Valid BC Driver’s License with a safe driving history 
and Emergency First Aid and CPR Certificate are also required.
