Director of Heritage
The Arts and Heritage Foundation of St. Albert is seeking a dynamic, =20
visionary leader for the position of Heritage Director, to work in an =20=
enthusiastic team environment.
The successful candidate will direct the St. Albert Heritage Sites =20
and Mus=E9e H=E9ritage Museum departments providing strategic leadership =
=20
for the current operations and future development of the community's =20
significant built heritage and material culture under the stewardship =20=
of the Arts and Heritage Foundation.
Primary focus will be on the further development of the St. Albert =20
Heritage Sites Master Plan, the conservation and restoration of =20
historic buildings and designated historic resources; and preparation =20=
for the 150th Anniversary of the City of St. Albert.
The Director is responsible for the day-to-day management and =20
administration of the Museum and Heritage Sites, including: finances, =20=
human resources, marketing, publicity and advocacy, programming, =20
exhibitions, collections management, interpretation, facilities and =20
operations.
The successful candidate will have:
- A graduate level degree relative to the job requirements
- A minimum of 5 years experience working for Historic Sites and =20
Museums
- Proven ability in adherence to museum and built heritage conservation
standards
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory, management position
