Earth Elements: Shaped into Images

Opening Reception: Saturday June 19, 2 - 4pm
The Maple Ridge Art Gallery is pleased to present Earth Elements: Shaped
into Images, an exhibition of art work by members of the Maple Ridge
Lapidary Club. Visitors to the MRAG will have an opportunity to view some of
the best sculptural and jeweled work created by club members.
The Maple Ridge Lapidary Club is one of the longest standing clubs in the
community and has served artists and public of the community since its
formation in 1958. The club focuses on promoting silversmithing, jewelry
design and fabrication, stone carving, mixed media sculpture, enameling,
casting methods and lampworking (glass) beads.
On Saturday, June 19th at 2pm, the public is invited to attend the opening
reception at the MRAG where artists from the group will be in attendance and
several members from the group will discuss their work. The public is
invited back on Saturday, the 9th of August when visitors to the gallery
will be treated to a public viewing of demonstrations in sculpting and
jewelry making.
The MRAG gratefully acknowledges the support of Parks and Leisure Services,
Sure Copy & Print and Maple Ridge Florist.
