vacation, a special occasion, someone dear to us. They help us retell a
story or recall the past.
In 1958, B.C. celebrated the 100^th anniversary of the gold rush and the
establishment of British Columbia as a crown colony. On July 29th, the
Delta Museum and Archives will unveil a second exhibit /"Dolls to Cigars
-- Souvenirs of B.C.'s Centennial" /to commemorate B.C.'s 150^th birthday.//

Souvenirs from dolls to cigars were created to help British Columbian's,
and the world, remember this special year. Join us on this journey
back in time and take a look at the souvenirs created for B.C.'s last
big celebration.
While attending the Delta Museum and Archives, also visit the /"1858 on
the delta"/ exhibit. In partnership with the Tsawwassen First Nation,
this exhibit illustrates how the area appeared in 1858. Visitors will
explore the delta's natural history, the rich heritage of the Tsawwassen
First Nation and the forces at play that would set the delta on its
journey to rapid development.
Come mark B.C.'s birthday with a visit to your community museum and
archives. Both "/Dolls to Cigars -- Souvenirs of B.C.'s Centennial"/
and /"1858 on the delta"/ will be on display until December 20, 2008.
/Established in 1969, the Delta Museum and Archives is a not-for-profit
society whose mission is to capture, research and preserve stories,
records and objects of Delta; promote community identity and facilitate
access to our community's rich history and diverse culture through
