2008 Sunshine Valley Homecoming Reunion

"Honouring our Past While Embracing our Future"

August 1- 4th, 2008

On behalf of the Homecoming Reunion Community Committee, I wish to =
cordially
invite each of you to attend the 2008 Sunshine Valley Homecoming =
Reunion.
Throughout this four-day BC150 Gold rush Trails & Trading Routes events =
the
community will be "Honouring our past while embracing our future."=20

Sunshine Valley has a rich history stored in drawers, attics and =
personal
memories from around the province and the world. We will honour our past =
by
sharing, recording and commemorating the diverse experiences and
recollections of individuals, families and organizations that are part =
of
the history of this Cascade Mountain community.=20

Preparations are in full swing and  we are happy to hear many people are
planning to attend  . Our Homecoming events will be intergenerational =
and
culturally diverse to encourage the sharing of our history, as recalled =
by
the First Nations, the Royal Engineers, the Trite's Ranch family,
1940sJapanese Canadians, the Hope-Princeton Road Crews, miners, =
ranchers,
Boystown residents  and today's Sunshine Valley community.

Numerous workshops and arts venues will be organized to create a local
collaboration for displays and exhibits. The community will be invited =
to
experience oral presentations, visual art, music, drama and digital
photography.

We will embrace our future with a collage of local artists, performers =
and
storytellers to encourage the ongoing development of these talents and
interests in Sunshine Valley.
