during a visit to Kelowna next week. The lecture will take place on the
Second Floor of the Okanagan Military Museum, located inside the
Memorial Arena. Everyone is welcome to attend and admission is by
donation. For more information please call 763-9292.

The HMCS TORONTO returned in December from a five month maritime
security deployment with NATO's Standing Maritime Group One. This voyage
included the first ever circumnavigation of Africa by a NATO Task Group
and featured interactions with warships from South Africa, Ghana, and
Nigeria during the course of TORONTO's operations in the pirate-plagued
African littorals. LCdr Topshee's multi-media presentation will feature
first-hand accounts of this historic trip, and will impart the role of
the Navy in protecting and promoting Canada's interests at home and
abroad.
