Community Event -- Mystery in the Museum...
Delta Museum & Archives has a Mystery to Solve
Delta, BC -- Are you searching for adventure this Spring Break? The
Delta Museum & Archives is looking for sleuths to solve the latest
Mystery in the Museum and capture the bandits behind the robbery of the
stage coach robbery.
The year is 1860, gold has been discovered on the Fraser River and
thousands of men and women are hoping to strike it rich! Unfortunately
the greed for gold is bringing the chaos and lawlessness of the Wild
West to the brand new colony of British Columbia. A stage coach has
been robbed at gunpoint and $15,000 worth of gold is missing. Can you
help capture the bandits and return the gold to its rightful owner?
This popular fun-filled adventure is offered by the Delta Museum &
Archives during Spring Break and is a self-guided drop-in program. To
solve the case you will follow the clues and uncover evidence throughout
the Museum. As you move from clue to clue, the evidence you discover at
each crime scene will bring you closer to solving this year's Mystery in
the Museum.
The Museum will be open March 18 to 20 and March 25 to 29 from 10:00am
to 4:30pm. Please allow a minimum of one hour to collect all the
evidence and solve the crime. Children under 12 years of age must be
accompanied by an adult. Cost is $5.00 per clue kit.
The Delta Museum and Archives is located in the heart of Ladner Village
