*Switches to SUmmer Hours on May 6^th *
*1424 Ellis Street** (inside the Memorial Arena)*
Summer hours will take effect at the Okanagan Military Museum on May
6^th , 2008 until September. Summer hours are:
*Tuesday to Saturday 10:00am -- 4:00pm *
On exhibit now at the Okanagan Military Museum is "Battlefield
Medicine", a temporary exhibit which briefly examines the transference
of medical techniques and technology used during war to civilian
environments. This exhibit runs in conjunction with the Kelowna General
Hospital centennial exhibition currently at the Okanagan Heritage
Museum. Both exhibits will run until December 6^th .
Also on exhibit is "Origins of the Militia in the Okanagan", a new
special exhibit that celebrates the 100^th anniversary of military
history in the Okanagan. The Okanagan Military Museum invites you to
come see these exhibits and to explore the stories and events of the
Okanagan's proud military heritage. For more information call 763-9292.
The Okanagan Military Museum is a facility of the Kelowna Museums
Society, a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to a greater
awareness of the agricultural, wine-producing, military, and cultural
heritages of the Okanagan. Admission is by donation. For more
