Greetings Jim,

The BC Interior Forestry in Revelstoke can think of more reasons to go =
with the Kellog's proposal, taking it at face value at this time, than =
not, so we will sign up.

  Canada does not produce cereals.
  Historians might wonder why.

Or, recall how Canadian farmers were driven into bankruptcy by heavy =
government subsidies for their American counter parts south of the =
border. Or why, Burlington and Northern ( who's southern terminus is =
Fort Lauderdale; the largest collection of grain elevators on earth ) =
then acquired C.N. Rail.

Worth looking into before deciding I think.

Personally, I won't be dressing up as Ronald McDonald any time soon, =
but, can recommend " Kelloggs Raisin Bran?"=20

National Museum Campaign with Kellogg Canada:=20
      Sign up today!=20

      To all members;=20

PLEASE forward to your marketing and communications staff.=20

The CMA is pleased to announce an opportunity for all museums, =
galleries, zoos, heritage sites and related institutions across Canada =
to participate in a national marketing campaign with Kellogg Canada, =
planned for 2009.=20

The goal for Kellogg's is to align their family of cereals with =
the social value of museums, and the family experience of shared time =
together =96 whether at the breakfast table, or walking through one of =
Canada's 2,500 museums, galleries, zoos, heritage sites, sport halls of =
fame, and more.=20

This is a tremendous opportunity for a national public awareness =
campaign for museums, which we have never done as a sector before. It =
requires NO CASH commitment from you, and we are working hard to keep it =
as simple as possible.=20

      What is the promotion?=20
      >From April 1 to July 1 2009, Kellogg Canada will put a =
promotional coupon on 3 million cereal boxes (both adult's and =
children's) across the country.=20

The coupon will entitle the bearer to one free entry to a museum =
(to a maximum value of $10, one per family) when the bearer is =
accompanied by a full-fare paying adult.=20

Kellogg Canada will launch a national media campaign highlighting =
museums as family destinations that will include:=20

a.. National TV advertising for four weeks=20
b.. National promotions in grocery stores =96 reaching over 8 =
million adults=20
c.. On-pack branding (front and back) of 3 million cereal boxes=20
d.. Regionally targeted print advertising in grocery flyers=20
e.. Promotional materials for use at participating sites=20
f.. Dedicated website promoting all participating museums with =
direct links to your websites=20
What if you don't charge admission?=20
You can still participate and benefit from new exposure! Consider =
offering everyone who brings in a coupon another promotion in exchange =
(for example: half-price off an event ticket, discount in the gift shop, =
reduced membership fees, etc.).=20

You can also consider getting regional promotion for your site by =
offering a prize.=20

      What if you're not a CMA member?=20
This opportunity is open to all museums and related institutions =
across Canada, whether they are CMA members or not.=20

      Sign up today!=20
At this time, we need your commitment. This is what you need to =
do:

a.. Reply to this email, stating your interest in participating. =

b.. CMA will send you the complete details and the Letter of =
Intent to Participate.=20
c.. You will need to complete the Letter and return it to the =
CMA by June 27, 2008.=20
Don't miss this opportunity to reach out to Canadians across the =
country =96 even our Prime Minister eats breakfast!=20
