Christmas Wreath Workshops
The Maritime Museum is offering Nautical wreath making workshops this
Christmas season. Plan on coming to the museum on one of three occasions-
December 9 from 6-8 p.m.; December 13 from 2-4 p.m. or December 17 from 2-4
p.m.
All workshops cost $20 + GST which includes one wreath. Each extra wreath
costs $10. Children are welcome to participate, but if they are under 12
they must have an adult with them to help. Participants are encouraged to
pre-register, but they can pay on the day of the workshop. There will be a
maximum of 15 people in each group..
The wreaths are made from manila rope using a traditional sailor's knot
called the Turk's Head..
