*In 2010 Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Site will celebrate its 
150th anniversary. Fisgard and Race Rocks were the only lighthouses 
built during the colonial period of British Columbia's history. Discover 
the early history of these vital aids to navigation and the system that 
grew from these first two lights.*

*Dale Mumford is the Community Relations Officer for Fort Rodd Hill and 
Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Sites and has spent more than 30 
years with Parks Canada interpreting the history of Fisgard Lighthouse 
and BC's early lighthouses. *
