   Event Title: 'Transforming Landscapes': The Best of Canadian
   Architecture 2008.

   Exhibit Open House & Panel Forum

   Thursday, Sept 24th, 2009

   5:00 PM - 7:00 PM

   Penticton Museum (785 Main St - next to the public library)

   The Penticton Museum & Archives is proud to work with the Royal
   Architectural Institute of Canada on a special exhibit that celebrates
   the best of Canadian and Okanagan architecture in 2008.

   'Transforming Places'  features an exclusive exhibit commissioned by
   the Royal Architecture Institute of Canada that highlights the
   Governor General Medal and Awards of Merit winners in Canadian
   Architecture for 2008. The mounted graphics feature the architects and
   properties that exemplify the 'beauty' &  'genius' of Canadian
   architecture, including the Nk'mip Desert Centre in Osoyoos. In
   addition, the exhibit will offer another opportunity for the public to
   view the traveling exhibit A-OK, which focuses on the work of Okanagan
   Based Architects, their values, methods and unique approaches to
   Architecture in the Okanagan.  The exhibit runs from September 14 -
   October 10th 2009 in the Atkinson Gallery of the Museum.

   From 6pm, the public is encouraged to share their views during a
   special panel forum titled A-OK : Past, Present & Future of Okanagan
   Architecture. The panel will consist of prominent Penticton architects
   discussing the importance of architecture in forging a uniquely
   Okanagan built environment.

   Admission: Open to the Public -Free!
