The last-minute decision leaves British Columbia scrambling to make do with a much-reduced Olympic pavilion slated for the fourth floor of the Vancouver Art Gallery, a far cry from the prominent structures that the province and Ottawa shared during the 2006 Winter Games in Turin and at last year's Summer Olympics in Beijing. "Last fall, the Cleveland Museum of Art found itself in the midst of both a major expansion/renovation and a financial jam. "To be able to proceed, the museum ... has gone to court for permission to draw up to $75 million over 10 years from the interest paid out on two endowment funds and two outside, restricted trusts for acquisitions." It's a troubling move." Wall Street Journal, September 15, 2009

Smithsonian Violated Its Own Rental Policy<http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/09/15/AR2009091503050.html>
"The Smithsonian Institution says it "made an error in allowing the Federation for American Immigration Reform to hold an event Tuesday night at the National Postal Museum." Glasgow
With Censorship, Glasgow Tarnishes Its Cultural Crown<http://www.guardian.co.uk/artanddesign/2009/sep/15/social-justice-glasgow-art>
"Culture and Sport Glasgow has exercised "troubling scrutiny" over the Gallery of Modern Art's "Sh(OUT) exhibition, a taboo-shattering lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex collection. Despite the irony in censoring a show that promotes equality and human rights, CSG and GoMA have been practising just that from the outset." The Guardian (UK), September 15, 2009

The show will also feature original paintings from Dylan's 'The Drawn Blank' series." Los Angeles Times, September 15,
