[BCMA] Historians history of the world

Hello, everyone,

 

The Creston Museum has been offered a nearly complete set of "The Historians
History of the World,"  published in New York and London 1905.  We have
twenty-two of the twenty-five volumes (missing Vol 20: England 1642-1791;
Vol 22: Supplement Australia and New Zealand; and Vol 25: Poland, Balkans,
Turkey, China, Japan, as well as the index).

 

All books are in pretty good condition, with green-and-black hardcovers; the
binding on some of the spines is a little cracked and torn, but most volumes
are fine.  No provenance on them, but a few volumes have library cards (no
name for the library), and they were last borrowed in 1957.

 

We don't have a need for this set in our collection.  We do have a local
collector interested in it, but would feel more comfortable offering it to
another museum first.

 

If you're interested, please let me know.  We do have to ask you to pick it
up or pay for shipping - each book is nearly three inches think and weighs
accordingly!
