The Cultural Resource Management Program at the University of Victoria is seeking expressions of interest in the position of Sessional Instructor for its two foundational distance education courses in museum studies for the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 terms. Museum Principles and Practices I & II both use a mix of print and online resource materials to address the roles of museums in society and the various functional specializations that comprise museum practice. As instructor, you would interact with and support participants from across North America and beyond who take these courses as part of their Diploma program in Cultural Resource Management. You would also work with students who are taking these courses to transfer to other degrees or on a stand-along basis to build their professional knowledge and skills.
The attached posting describes the Sessional Instructor position and notes that some minor revisions may be required for the delivery of the Spring section. Thanks for letting us know if this position is of interest to you.
