Burnaby Village Museum has been offered a sheetmetal brake (machine for bending sheetmetal)
This machine is used for making sheet metal product like air ducts, gutters, or building cornices.
This is a very early one from the 1890's. It has a heavy wood frame with metal parts mounted on the frame.
The machine is 8 feet long and about 3 feet high.
Brass plaque reads "The Double Truss & Cornice Brake Co. / Buffalo N.Y. / Pat Sep 12, 93 Patents Pending."
Number stamped in wood frame "4843"
This machine is complete except for the balance weights which were used with other machine.
Also hand cranked drill press is a Champion Blower and Forge machine
I have photos of the brake and drill. If you are interested or would like more information call me at any of the contacts below
