Time Travel in North Vancouver: A Peek into the Past

Join the Friends of the North Vancouver Museum & Archives as they celebrate the launch of North Vancouver's latest local history book: Time Travel in North Vancouver: A Peek Into the Past.  The event will take place on Saturday September 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the North Vancouver Museum.

In compiling this book, local historian Sharon Proctor spent years interviewing long-time residents, poring over old newspapers, diaries and the memoirs, reviewing official records and maps, and walking North Vancouver's neighbourhoods to uncover little known stories of North Vancouver's past. The result is intriguing and is of great interest to longtime and new residents. Time Travel in North Vancouver presents a view of the local landscape as it once was and as it is today.

The 112-page book contains 300 photographs or over 90 locations across North Vancouver.

Join us on Saturday September 25 from 2 to 4, and have your book copy signed by the author and enjoy an exhibition based on the book.  The North Vancouver Museum is located at 209 West 4th Street, North Vancouver.
