Vancouver, BC, September 17, 2010: More than 1,100 sports fans, honoured
members of the BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum, their family and friends
helped celebrate the Hall's 2010 inductees at the 42nd anniversary of the
Banquet of Champions induction ceremony which was held on Thursday,
September 16, 2010 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
The 9 individuals and 1 team honoured at the 42nd Annual Banquet of
Champions were:

Fame.

Live and silent auctions at the Banquet of Champions Gala raised significant
funds for the BC Sports Hall of Fame. The funds raised help the BC Sports
Hall of Fame deliver their Hero In You (R) educational programs while
continuing to recognize and honour British Columbia's greatest athletes and
inspire our next generation of athletes.
"This year's Banquet of Champions was a tremendous success and we owe it to
an incredible class of inductees and all the supporters who were here to
show their respect and appreciation and to honour what they've done for
sport in this province," said Marvin Storrow, Chair of the Banquet of
Champions, BC Sports Hall of Fame and Museum. "Due to the incredible support
of our guests, we're able to continue honouring British Columbia's greatest
individuals and teams in sport and keep working to inspire future
generations."
