After seventeen years at the helm of the Doukhobor Discovery Centre, I have
resigned my  post as Curator.
There have been many highlights along the way, three HSMBC designations,
major exhibits with the assistance of BC Arts Council, Vancouver
Foundation and Columbia Basin Trust [primarily] along with major web site
development and on line exhibits. We have also made major improvements in
the infrastructure.
I am grateful to those institutions and individuals who shared my vision and
helped me with many of these projects and in particular, I give full credit
to the supportive Board of Directors of the Kootenay Doukhobor Historical
Society. Ron Mahonin was an exemplary collaborator in many of these
projects.
The City of Castlegar has also been instrumental in the success of the
Centre.
I am happy to ascertain that I have left the Centre in a better condition
than I found it.
I leave with the anticipation that the standards we have set will be
maintained with  continuing diligence and attention paid to our heritage and
history.
I will continue my interest and work in matters historic, albeit in not so
dedicated a full time fashion.
