The following job is open to College or University Students only, who  
are returning to full time studies in the fall.


Program Outreach Assistant 16 weeks, 35 hours/week
Island Mountain Arts, Wells, BC
May 9 to August 26
$12.50/hour

Project & Job Objectives:
Island Mountain Arts will be offering a diverse range of courses and  
workshops in 2011. The Program Outreach Assistant will ensure that  
every participant receives the highest quality experience in their  
learning and free time in Wells. As well as preparing for the arrival  
of teachers and participants (registration, course and classroom  
preparation), the student will assist participants during their visit  
through daily event briefings, participant excursions, course-related  
events, and course evaluations.

Description of Tasks:
Tasks and Responsibilities:
·Assist in all aspects of course registrations and information  
requests: provide course, travel and accommodations info, process  
payments, maintain registration binder;
·Assist in managing the IMA Website and IMA database: process  
information requests, registrations, memberships, donations, updating  
and reporting on all related information;
·Assist in managing the Wells-Barkerville School facility for the  
duration of the Summer School: liaise with instructors and students,  
ensure facility access, provide supplies and equipment, prepare (and  
tear-down) classrooms for workshop use;
·Manage the IMA-participant outreach and communications, including:
o Create Student Welcome Packages
o Coordinate student Welcome Receptions;
o Coordinate student afternoon excursions (Barkerville, hiking,  
canoeing tours);
·Maintain Canteen: deliver supplies, manage inventory, daily  
cleaning, collect donations;
·Prepare, deliver, collect and tabulate the student course evaluations;
·Assist with all aspects of daily office duties such as answering  
phones, emails, filing, photocopying, etc., and other duties as  
assigned.

Island Mountain Arts is a vibrant arts organization that provides  
innovative cultural programming in north central BC. In addition to  
the School of the Arts, the organization annually presents the  
ArtsWells Festival and runs a small Public Gallery, plus and a  
variety of additional events such as Artist Talks, Reading and
