KELOWNA - Please be our Guest on February 23, 2011 at the Okanagan Arts Awards. 

 

This is an open invitation to all Media/Press professionals to please join us at the Okanagan Arts Awards - as our guest. On behalf of the artists, the committee, the Arts Board and our art patrons we ask you to please join us and help make our event a success.

 

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

The need for media representation and participation is paramount in the success of the Okanagan Arts Awards. Please help us promote the Awards show through PSA's, media alerts, website links and/or your stations social media promotions. 

 

Plan to attend the event - as our guest - just bring your press pass or media credentials for entry at the door. THANK YOU in advance, for supporting the Creative Community in our valley!

 

WHAT'S IT ABOUT?

CATCH THE SPIRIT and LET US ENTERTAIN YOU as over 200 local artists gather onstage for a night of Music, Art, Theatre, Awards and Celebrations at the Kelowna Community Theatre on Wednesday February 23, 2011 for the 4th Annual Okanagan Arts Awards.

 

Doors open at 6:00 pm, with refreshments being served, offering you a chance to mingle with the Artists, view the Art Exhibits and delight in the wealth of Silent Auction Donations and ownership opportunities. 

 

The Kelowna City Band kicks up the beat at 7:00 pm. as select dancers from the Kelowna Ballet don their slippers, and Anna Jacyszyn and Bernie Addington prepare to Jazz things up. Rush to your seats for a Showcase Concert including performances by James Avery, Cameron Welch and a ceremonial dance by Westbank First Nations.  

 

>From Slam Poetry to Comedy to Dance - the Okanagan Artists promise to entertain you in celebration of the talented guests being honored throughout the evening as recipients of the 4th Annual Okanagan Arts Awards. 

 

After the Concert's Grand Finale, we'll keep the spirit alive, serving up a delicious Dessert Reception, and sending you home with something sweet to talk about until next year's production.
