[BCMA] Kids Day at the Creston Museum

Kids Day is back at the Creston Museum!

 

On Saturday, June 11, the Creston Museum will open its doors to kids of all
ages for a special day of old-fashioned fun and games.

 

Lessons in the schoolhouse begin at 10:30, 1:30, and 3:30 - and the
schoolma'am is strict so don't be late!

 

There will be ice cream and lemonade from 11:00 to 1:00, and the Prospectors
Club will be on hand with their gold-panning setup from 1:00 until 3:00 or
later. You're guaranteed to find gold - which you can keep - and you will
receive a certificate and photograph to go with it.

 

The Old-Fashioned Candy Store will be open for business all day. Thanks to
the support of Overwaitea Foods, you can buy candy at old-fashioned prices.
Bring a few pennies - or try to win a few in the games and races - to get
three gumballs or jujubes for a penny!

 

See if you can find all of the objects hidden in the Museum's treasure hunt.

if you can spot the lie among twelve specially-chosen stories about some of
the Museum's artifacts.

 

It all goes from 10:00 to 5:00 on Saturday, June 11.  Gold panning is $10;
the ice cream and lemonade picnic is $1 per person.  All other activities,
including admission to the Museum, are free. Kids twelve and under - please
remember to bring an adult with you.
