Thursday March 3rd from 11:30-12:30, Museum of Vancouver will host a
brown bag chat by Beth Greenhorn, a curator and archivist from Library/
Archives Canada who has been working for most of the last decade on a
web project that seeks to identify Inuit portrayed in Canada's
photographic collections. The project has also enabled Nunavut youth to
connect with elders and to gain important research skills. Project
Naming: http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/inuit/index-e.html is a
collaborative effort between Nunavut Sivuniksavut, which offers a
special college program based in Ottawa, serving Inuit youth from
Nunavut; Nunavut's Department of Culture, Languages, Elders and Youth
(CLEY); and LAC.

Beth will give a quick slideshow and talk about her experiences using
online and offline engagement tools in this work. Please join us if you
can.
