FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

*Port Moody Station Museum Launches New Website *

Port Moody, BC, March 14, 2011 – The Port Moody Station Museum just got an
online makeover with the help of thev3h.com. According to Museum
Coordinator, Rebecca Clarke, “We have always felt that it is important to
have a strong presence online. In 2004, the Museum was one of the first in
Canada to have a blog. We knew that we needed a new design but after
spending many months trying to create something new, we hadn’t gotten very
far.”

The Museum got lucky when in December of 2010, Jon Strocel put out a call to
local businesses and organizations to win a website makeover with his
company. According to Strocel, “We at theV3H.com had been working closely
with local businesses and non-profits to promote their events since we
launched in 2009. When it came time to launch theV3H Web Services, we wanted
to help a local organization get the kind of website that we have.”

In choosing the Museum, Strocel felt, “The Port Moody Station Museum has
been a staple of the community for so many years. One thing that drew us to
the project was that their web presence was spread between an information
site and a blog, with different web addresses. We saw that bringing the
information site, the blog, and the organization's email addresses under
portmoodymuseum.org would be great bang for the buck. Also, their blog had
great features and was updated regularly. We wanted to create a site that
would be well used, and with Rebecca's talents, I knew it would be in good
hands.”

Clarke is thrilled with the final result. “The new website brings together
many aspects of our online presence in a new and easy to use design.” Among
the new features are direct links to Facebook, Twitter and Flickr, online
booking for programs and rentals, a calendar of events and displays, direct
links to CanadaHelps.org for easy donations, and an opportunity for visitors
to sign up to get the latest blog post sent directly to their email.

According to Clarke, “One important feature of the new site is that it can
be updated easily. This means that the site can grow as the Museum takes on
new projects or offers new services. This is very important to us as we want
to be able to grow and respond to the changing needs of the community.”

For Jon, this is part of the deal, “Our philosophy at theV3H Web Services is
very simple. We create not only websites, but an entire web presence that is
easy to maintain and creates maximum visibility for the client.”

So, take a moment in the next few days to stop by and visit the Museum –
online at least – at www.portmoodymuseum.org. You may learn something new.

The Port Moody Station Museum, located at 2734 Murray Street in Port Moody
next to Rocky Point Park, is owned and operated by the non-profit Port Moody
Heritage Society, and is part of their effort to promote increased awareness
and knowledge of Port Moody's heritage and history. The Museum is currently
