Topic: What is Jewish humour?
Guest moderator: Jeffrey Groberman
What is Jewish Humor? No one can deny that to a high degree North American Arts and Entertainment have been strongly influenced by it. Writers such as Shalom Aleichem, Philip Roth and Joseph Heller have defined the Jewish protagonist. Screenwriters like Woody Allen and William Goodman have influenced a new generation of screenwriters. Television Comedy has been virtually owned by Jewish comedians running the gamete Sid Caesar and Milton Berle to Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David. This café explores Jewish Humor. What are the common themes? What defines it?
