Amazing Sea Stories - The Maritime Museum of BC

The Magic of Winds and Movember: The Maritime Museum of BC is pleased to invite you to a magical evening filled with music performed by the Trio Pacifica on Wednesday, November 16th from 7-9pm in the Museum's beautiful 19th c. Courtroom. Sail away to the music of Mozart, Jacques Ibert, Gordon Jacob, Gershwin. There will also be a sampling of Celtic Tunes and even some old familiar songs of the Beatles.

All three members of Trio Pacifica are active members of Victoria's musical community. Katrina Bligh (performing on the oboe) can also be found performing with the ever popular Naden Band; Jacqui Sullivan (on clarinet) is a musical instructor throughout Victoria and John Larsen (playing the bassoon) spends most of his time at Larsen Music on Cook St - and yes he does own the shop! You may also recognize his name from his generous donation of a violin to Victoria's loved busker, Darth Fiddler who had lost his original violin in an unfortunate confrontation.

Tickets are just $20.00 and can be purchased in the Crow's Nest gift shop at the Maritime Museum of BC. Doors open at 6:15pm. A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to Movember. Nautical Wreath Workshop - Back by popular demand! Give this Christmas a nautical flare with your very own Nautical Wreath! Classes are being held on Nov. 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th from 1- 5pm. Cost is $25.00 + HST ($10 for each additional wreath) and includes rope and ribbon. Please bring any other decorations you may wish to add and a good pair of gloves.
