MARITIME MUSEUM ROUNDING THE FINAL MARK IN LONG PROCESS

The Provincial Capital Commission (PCC) has invited the Maritime Museum of BC to the next level in the evaluation process for the use of the CPR Steamship Terminal.

Monday morning, November 21st the Museum's team will meet with the PCC's evaluation panel to discuss the merits of their plan to re-invent the historic CPR building as a cultural and tourism icon.

"This is great news and the community is behind us" said Jamie Webb, Maritime Museum of BC team leader, "we are confident that our proposal is the best use of this public asset.  We are ready to work with government and industry to produce a high quality product to showcase this spot on the Inner Harbour".

Members of the media are invited to meet the Museum's project team for interviews and an explanation of the Maritime Museum of BC's bid for the CPR Terminal.

1:00pm, Monday November 21st, in front of the CPR Terminal building on Belleville Street
