Kelowna Art Gallery now welcoming registrations for art classes and
workshops for winter 2012 

 

November 28, 2011 - Kelowna, BC: The Kelowna Art Gallery is pleased to
announce our winter 2012 art class and workshop offerings for adults and
youth, available starting in January and running through early March.
Registration is now underway and the Gallery encourages local creative
types to take advantage of these high-quality intimate classes.

 

This season, the Gallery has expanded our winter art class schedule to
include weekend classes for youth, and intensive workshops by well-known
local artists Jane Everett, Jim Kalnin, and Alex Fong. Reasonably-priced
art classes will be offered for adults in painting and drawing. We also
have weekend classes for youth in the art of cartooning, and weekend
workshops that explore life drawing and mixed media. 

 

Taking into account varying levels of ability, classes will be offered
for absolute beginners, as well as for those of intermediate skill
level. Beginner classes will teach students the basic principles of the
particular medium, while also giving them the opportunity to discuss,
explore, and express themselves through visual art. More advanced
students will build on their existing skills through creative exercises
to enhance their abilities. Instruction by the Gallery's art teachers is
supportive, motivating, and inspiring.

Gift certificates for art classes are now available from the Gallery,
and are a wonderful holiday gift-giving idea. Those registering before
January 6, 2012 will receive a 10% discount on fees.
