The Nanaimo Art Gallery is looking for a dynamic individual to assume 
the role of *Executive/Artistic Director *of the Gallery, starting on 
April 1, 2012

Candidates must be able to demonstrate proven ability in the following 
critical areas:

·Leadership

·Excellent communication skills

·Ability to successfully advocate on behalf of the organization

·Knowledge of the Visual Arts

·Financial management skills and experience

·Grant Writing Experience

·Management skills relating to staff and volunteers

·Understanding of community issues and priorities

·Public art gallery experience

·Graduate degree in Arts Administration or the Visual Arts, or equivalent.

In order to facilitate a smooth transition, the Board of Directors is 
interested in negotiating an earlier appointment if possible.
