[BCMA] online fundraising auctions

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with online auctions as fundraisers – either one time events or as an ongoing project?  We operated a two-day auction earlier this year using just our email address and spreading the word through our usual PR and media lists.  A few things have been given to us by donors expressly for selling or auctioning off and managing multiple items using our email will become cumbersome.  Online research shows a number of ways to post things on auction sites, but we could use some advice as to which program might be the best, how to avoid high fees, and any other suggestions there may be from those who have participated as part of a museum or other non-profit organization.
