A Christmas Carol returns in 2012

Dickens," -

described his performance as "perfect". Barry Bowman, well-known
Victoria radio personality enthuses "To have this kind of talent,
someone who can do this without lights, without props, is
incredible."

Start the evening touring the Museum rooms until you reach the dance
hall on the fourth floor. Once there take a seat and enjoy Jason's
one hour performance of "A Christmas Carol" then complete the evening
by wending your way down the working side of the Castle.  Tickets now

Holiday Craft Activities for our artistically inspired visitors have
been moved to 1pm. Fun for adults and children alike, come make your
own souvenir! Daily at 1PM (Weekends from December 5th, and then
weekdays during the school break from December 22 - 31.)

Family Nights are back with a twist:  This year, families will be
guided by Kate the Maid or another historical figure up to the dance
hall where Gina McIntosh will tell stories around the Christmas tree.
 Enjoy some cookies and cider, while listening to fascinating tales. 
A true Victorian holiday tradition!

Back by Popular Demand!

Starting on December 3rd, we begin our School Tours which have been
redesigned to work with the BC Social Studies curriculum, allowing
teachers to incorporate these tours into their lesson plans.  (Plus,
we've added fun new crafts for the kids!)

December 6 is our famous Members and Sponsors Gala.  This year,
Members and Sponsors are invited to bring a guest who may be
interested in becoming a future supporter of Craigdarroch Castle. 
We've also added some fun activities, entertainment, and a few
surprises!  Don't forget to RSVP to

December 22 & 23 are Family Nights at Craigdarroch Castle.  Family
night includes a guided tour by Kate the Maid or another historical
character, followed by story telling aroudn the Christmas tree with
cookies & cider. $15/adult, $14/senior, $10/student (13-higher Ed
w/ID) $7/child (6-12.) Must be pre-booked, Barb at 250-592-5323 x0 or

Visit with Father Christmas on December 22, 23 and 24th.  Like all
our day-time entertainment and activities, regular admission rates
apply and no reservations are required.  Just like all of our daily
programming including music, puppets & crafts.

Twice Daily musical performances at 11:00 and 3:00 begin on December
17th and go through until the 31st.  Check our website for the full

Beginning as soon as January 26th, we will be offering a full series
of Vintage Craft Workshops on Saturdays.  Come learn a new skill this

We have since tracked down some of the family descendants who were
able to send us some pictures of the man who wrote his name in the
Castle!
